Beautiful Bakes
Donation protected
October 30th 2022 the world lost the most beautiful caring considerate person, my best friend Kelly Baker.
Kel was tragically killed in a hit and run accident, leaving a huge hole in so many hearts and devastatingly leaving her husband Steve and their 3 year old son behind to navigate a life without her.
Kelly was always one to think of everyone else before herself, always making sure everyone else was ok. Always leading the way in making things better for others.
When her Dad sadly died of cancer Kelly and her sisters set out to fundraise, with Kel running the London Marathon. When tragedy hit the family again, with Kelly’s niece dying suddenly of meningitis, once again the family began to rally round raising funds for Meningitis research.
After Kel’s death, her family received invaluable support from the Road Victims Trust charity who have provided much needed support, guidance and advice through this heart breaking time.
Kelly’s sisters decided to carry on with Kels fight to make things better and suggested we run a marathon, for 2 charities close to Kel and her families heart. The Road Victims Trust and Meningitis Research Foundation.
Kellys sisters, Cassie and Jamie each have a charity place in the London Marathon for those charities, myself and Nigel will be running the Brighton Marathon on the 7th April 2024. All the money we raise will be spilt between Cassie and Jamie’s fundraising pots.
Any support whether financially, emotionally, physically would be greatly appreciated for all of us and all the people who are sadly affected by such tragedy.
