Hello, my name is Jamie May and today while at the dog park (his favourite place to be) my girlfriend Justine's dog Beau jumped up to catch his tennis ball and when he landed, broke his femur in 3 places in a freak accident. He's only 1.5 years old and is a very healthy and energetic golden retriever. The initial meds were $400, the bloodwork $120 and the initial exam+x-rays were $400. But now that it's been deemed that he has a broken femur, the resulting surgery will be very expensive. Unfortunately she doesn't have that kind of money lying around so we are asking for any help that you may have.

UPDATE:

Beau had his surgery and stayed 3 more nights and is now back home as of Saturday the 26th. The total bill for his stay at the animal hospital was $11,518.90. Tomorrow he begins his 8-10 week rehab at home
