Beaumont Hospital - Oncology Ward

So I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer back in September.  I'm determined to get some good out of what is/will be a rotten few months and what better way than tapping you guys for some MUCH NEEDED cash for Beaumont's oncology ward.

I won't lie -  Chemotherapy is as nasty as you'd imagine it to be, at times it's hell. For the time being we can't eliminate the nasty side effects for patients, but we can try and offset them by making their surroundings as comfortable as possible.  (Research confirms that those who are distracted during chemo tend to do better during it).

Thanks to the efforts of the Ross Nugent Foundation Beaumont have been able to greatly improve their facilities in the oncology ward , but they still need a constant flow of support to continue their efforts.

Just remember YOU WILL be directly or indirectly effected by cancer at some point in your life. Hopefully that's a looooooooooong way away and hopefully by then the facilities in place will give you comfort when you find yourself there going through treatment.

Hopefully one day the oncology facilities will match the standards of the oncology staff. Words can't describe how good they are on both a professional and personal level.
