Bus for Beaudean
Donation protected
This GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds for a young man, my nephew, Beaudean Holl.
Beaudean was born with Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the nervous system and causes severe developmental delay and intellectual disability. Beaudean has grown into a strong young 25-year-old man. He is in desperate need of a wheelchair-accessible transport vehicle. With increased pressure on disability budget, Beaudean’s NDIS funding does not include his transport to his appointments and day program. Beaudean’s day program is important in maintaining a fulfilling and interesting life, including the ability to socialise with his peers.
For those of you who don’t know Beaudean, his happy nature and playfulness is contagious. Everyone who meets him loves him. He is constantly making everyone laugh.
Currently, Beaudean’s father, Glenn, is using his own vehicle to manually lift Beaudean into a standard rear seat and folding his wheelchair and transporting that in the rear section of his van. As Beaudean is now a grown man, this is no longer a sustainable option for transport.
A wheelchair-accessible bus would make Beaudean’s life much easier and give him many more opportunities to be able to get out into the community with his father and carers. A bus would enable him to be transported safely and give him the ability to also have his mobility walker with him to continually strengthen his legs, as well as his wheelchair.
Beaudean’s father, my brother Glenn, continues to be beyond committed to giving him the support and care to live a full and healthy life. Glenn has done an unbelievable job of raising Beaudean. He has been a champion for Beaudean’s right to the best quality of life and care. They are both inspirational people.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
I am asking you to support Beaudean so that he can continue to have the same opportunities as any other 25-year-old would have. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can to make Beaudean’s dream to a reality and have a long-term suitable transport option available to him.
Any donation no matter how big or small will help Beaudean.

A previous page for Beaudean had to be closed, as the organiser’s workplace saw it as a conflict of interest. Beaudean and his father, Glenn, are very appreciative of the $2,730 already raised, which has been put aside to help fund the van once we reach this target.
