Tragedy struck my best friend’s family when her younger brother, Beau Brown, was in a terrible accident outside of Spearman, Texas Tuesday (3/19/19) night. Allison & Carson Pearson, along with their families, are some of the best people I know! I have only met Beau a few times with Allison, but I know he is the kind of person who would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need. This family needs our help right now. Beau has a long road of recovery & medical bills in front of him. I am reaching out for help to cover medical bills along with the cost of hotels & food for his family so they can be in Lubbock with him. Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated! Most importantly this family needs prayers right now! Below I will share a post Beau’s mother, Carla, posted on Thursday morning on her Facebook about his condition..
Beau was in a severe vehicle accident on Tuesday night. We were awakened by the dreaded knock on the door by the sheriff's office with bad news about his condition and not given much hope to see him alive and well when we arrived to Amarillo at Northwest Texas Hospital.
After being assessed, he had his first surgery during the night to stitch his colon and make sure he wasn't bleeding internally. It was decided he should be moved to Lubbock to UMC.
He has 17 breaks in his body, 1 facial, 2 jaw fractures, shoulder blade, 8 ribs, 4 vertebrae, and a broken pelvis. However miraculously no surgeries are going to be required except to repair his jaw and one vertebrae in his back. His team of doctors expect him to spend no longer than a week in the hospital because he is so strong and doing so well. He has absolutely no brain injury or spinal cord injury. And again miraculously all 17 breaks are in place!!!!!!! They are going to fuse 5 of his middle vertebrae which should not affect his moving availability in daily life.
Please continue to pray for him, it is what is getting him through!!! You can pray for his successful back surgery in the morning which is scheduled for around 9 and should take around 3 hours, you can pray for pain ease and for his face and jaw surgery which will be happening in a few days and also for his piece of mind once he realizes what all he has been through and that he has lost his friend who passed in the accident.
Everyone who knows Beau knows his incredible strength, determination, and fight. He is showing up as who he is and God is showing up as who HE is!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for all the amazing ways we have had love and support shown to him and his family
