/>The time has come! I'm excited to announce that over a decade working in the industry, I am opening up a tattoo studio of my own! Although leaving Speakeasy will be a sad day for me, I'm ready to take on this next chapter.
This will be a multi-purpose space; I am collaborating with several individuals to strengthen a sense of community in the Hudson Valley. I am currently in the works of designing evening events, and classes including a space for teenagers to come who are interested in art. I will be holding some adult drawing classes, as well as offering chances to learn other arts such as Tarot and Palmistry. This space will offer an opportunity for me to hold ongoing charity events. I will have the opportunity to work more closely with organizations involving women's health, animal rehabilitation clinics, environmental issues, etc. I am a huge advocate in mental health awareness and am exploring my possibilities currently with some individuals on art therapy.
Overall, my main goal is to have a clean, safe and judgment-free studio. My clients will have the opportunity to schedule their own appointments including consultations, using an easy-to-follow online guide.
I will be holding a small space for retail as well. I will be selling handmade goods by both my husband and I, including my tattoo aftercare and other skin products. There will be books on sale as well as handmade jewelry and some small home goods designed by some of the finest people I know.
I am going to make sure my studio is close enough for my loyal clients to travel to; somewhere between Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties. I am still exploring some viable options!
Just as my clients have shaped what my career is today, I cannot walk into this next step without you. I am looking to gather the funds required to make this a real possibility. I am looking to open doors by the spring.
I will, however, still be collaborating with the Speakeasy crew when possible! I've had the most pleasant experience and personal growth while working with this group of individuals and that is something I will continue to hold as a priority.
