About 4 months ago Zach started to slowly loose his voice to what we believed was just a little cold or a kind of infection, we soon discovered that we weren’t so lucky.. within these four months Zach had developed a cancer called Laryngeal cancer, a cancer that grows on the vocal cords. 

When we visited the ears, nose, and throat specialist he immediately made Zach an appointment with Dr. Hunter.. he told us that he thought it was only on the surface of his vocal cord and a little bit of lazering would do the trick but warned us of the possibility’s

Wednesday, March 20th Zach had received surgery on his vocal cords, as he was coming out from Anesthesia the doctor pulled his mother and I into a waiting room to break us with some news, Zach’s cancer wasn’t only on the surface of his vocal cord but also was in the tissue and needed intensive radiation, 
we were given other options including removing one side of his vocal cord which would leave him with little to no voice, which was definitely not a choice for Zach. 

Zach has a follow up appointment Wednesday, March 27th and after that appointment he starts Radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks straight, due to this he will be missing work, and on top of that we will have to travel back an forth to Provo daily from Richfield.
