Beating homelessness at 28

Hello my name is Reece, I am making this in hope to see if there is truly a second chance out there for someone who is close to giving up. I’m 28 and became homeless because me and my partner split up and she lives with my daughter.

i currently spend my days in buildings and shopping centers charging my phone and food pulling together the guts to ask places if there is any food they will throw away which is available to have. I go to libraries to read and have access to toilets, I am lucky enough to have multiple changes of clothes but they aren’t getting any cleaner. Just getting by everyday, I wish no one to ever go through what I’m going through I know I am not alone, I have tried the council but there is a 2 month waiting list to even get an assessment meeting to discuss my options and the hostel option is mostly for people on benefits or below 25, I applied for UC but this also has a 37 day wait to get a meeting to complete my application.

I need to get a place sorted and I’m recently out of work as of June 2025, I don’t have anything but the suitcase with clothes and the ones on my back. I hardly survive with food because this is all so new to me. I just wish for a chance to get somewhere sorted and to do that I need funds to get a roof over my head so I can have my daughter.

I don’t expect help because nothing in this world is for free but as someone who goes around and brings joy to others for no cost it would mean the world to me to be able to get my life back on Track so I can see my daughter.

I take pride in going around places and doing magic with cards for free in all places which let me. I enjoy bringing happiness to others and putting other peoples happiness before my own. I like reading and researching anything which tickles my brains, I love being with my daughter but I have not seen her for 3 months as I need someone solid in foundation before that can happen.

I just need to raise enough to pay for a roof over my head for 3 months thats plenty time to get myself back on my feet and find work. Having no place to stay is just a struggle in todays world and it’s hard talk to people anymore because I feel like a burden or they feel the need to help in small amounts but I hate taking with out giving something back.

my wish is to get a place to stay so I can start to do streaming of my magic and share it with the world, my wish is to be able to have my daughter running round my place knowing she is safe, my wish is to be given a second chance in life, I’m young and optimistic and hope the world is as giving as I would be.
