Beating Cancer Together! Grayson’s Army!

Friends and family…

Someone very special has just been diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Grayson, an energetic, loving, loyal, friendly (Do you wanna play with me?!) and very intelligent 5yr old has been given this life changing news.

A couple of weeks ago, Gray’s parents noticed he wasn’t his usual self, had low energy (and if you know Gray, he’s a busy guy!) so they decided to take him in to get checked out. While at the hospital in Cranbrook, they felt best to have him transported down to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver where they diagnosed him with Cancer.

This family is nothing short of amazing. And if one thing’s forsure, family is everything to them. While Jason (Dad) works away from home, out of town several months of the year, Chelsea (Mom) holds down the fort on top of her own health issues. Chelsea has inoperable abdominal tumours, which require a lifetime of pain management, her treatment also includes regular Chemotherapy, and will be that way for the foreseeable future. This means, Chelsea is unable to work, and the household finances fall solely on Jason’s shoulders.

Grayson’s treatments have already begun, and at this point, he is considered an outpatient, so he will hopefully be able to go through this in the comfort of his own space at home.

We are asking for our community’s help for this deserving family. Taking some of the financial burden away from them will allow the family to remain together during this difficult and uncertain road ahead, relieving some of the pressures. We are asking you to please share whatever you can, big or small.

Grayson’s smile is big and bright, and brings joy to everyone he is around.

Our goal right now is to come together and gift whatever we can, but this will be an on going effort to support them.
