Help Beata navigate Saturday’s “act of nature”

Last Saturday, New York experienced massive rainfall. It would have been ideal to not have to commute and be able to stay home, safe and dry. Unfortunately, work doesn’t stop and responsibilities continue. Living in an area where public transportation isn’t easily accessible (and many times not an option) makes driving a necessity rather than a luxury. Beata had to drive into Manhattan from the Peekskills on Saturday, parked her car on 93rd St and 5th Ave and worked an extremely busy and tiring shift. She finished at 7:00 pm and walked to her car, only to find out that a tree had fallen on it and completely destroyed it.
She is now facing an uphill battle to get compensation for her losses. Her insurance will not pay a dime and suing the city will be a long process which will not be resolved anytime soon.
Social media has the ability to reach so many people at once. I am hoping that all of you that know Beata will want to help her get back some of what she lost, and those of you that don’t know her, will see this as an opportunity to extend your kindness to a person that is always willing to help, that cares about everyone around her and is loved and valued by all of us that know her.
All donations will go straight to her bank account.
I thank you all in advance for your generosity!
