Beat Down Lymphoma for Karrie Kavanaugh Derenski

I hope you are doing well during these times.
Healthcare is a small world. I met Karrie through her sister, Megan Musselman, a pharmacist with whom I work with. For those of you who do not personally know Karrie, she is one of the strongest, most positive, energetic, and family-oriented ladies I know. She has touched so many lives during her pharmacy career. While Karrie is a private person, but has given me permission to share her current struggle.
A few weeks ago, Karrie went in for a routine check due to tightness and heaviness in her chest. A chest X-ray was done and unfortunately a mass was discovered. A biopsy has confirmed Karrie has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She has begun chemotherapy and radiation therapy to follow.
Karrie’s husband and three children, Evan (19), Lauren(17), and Justin (16) are her biggest priority. Karrie and her family are so appreciative of the outpouring of support and love they have received already, and are staying positive and strong. That said, this fundraiser has been established to help ease the financial burden that comes with cancer treatment and time away from work. Karrie’s primary focus should be on her health and on beating lymphoma.
We are aware that many people are currently experiencing financial struggles during this time, thus, we completely understand if you cannot donate. Even keeping this special family in your thoughts will be very much appreciated.
