UPDATE ON BEAR:
October 1st he saw his neurologist for a followup.
So with that said he has to have another MRI because his last one was in 2021 and it showed white matter on the brain which can be a sign for dementia so they want to look for vascular dementia on this MRI to see if the white matter has spread. They also need to do some blood work and a sleep study.
With all that said the harsh reality of everything is that bear may not make it home his morale needs to be boost and the only way I can think of doing that is having friends other than family go and see him just to let him know that people are still out there that care about him I'd give you his phone number but he doesn't answer the phone a video chat on messenger would be a good way to reach out to him if you can't make it up to see him. At this point where he's at and PT and OT he's still a Max transfer meaning I can't transfer him by myself at home. Therefore I cannot tend to him properly at home. I'm not going to beg but I'm going to ask that if you have some time and can see him it would be meaningful to his family and to him it would be a great surprise to his demeanor and morale. He's still in Cooney home which is right by the hospital and he is in room 407 at this moment bed one so he's the first bed when you walk in the room.

Family, friends and strangers ~
This is hard to write, but Bear and I are in serious need of your help.
On April 23rd 2025, Bear was admitted into St. Pete's with influenza A which caused complications with his Parkinson's. He had lost use of his entire right arm. He was in the hospital for two and a half weeks. He got use of his right arm slowly. After his stay in the hospital, they transferred Bear to Cooney Home. Which is for rehabilitation.
Bear was admitted the 7th of May for rehabilitation to regain use of his right arm completely and to help him walk and sit and stand. He is there on a week to week basis. And is now walking with his walker.
With all of this I have lost my income because I can only claim hours for when Bear is in my care. His Medicare only covered full coverage for 20 days. After that we now have a copay of $209 a day. We can not afford this. We are trying another program to help with payments however it could 6 months before we know.
As many know we are looking for a new place to live more suitable for Bear and our animals. We need help with down payment and first month rent. The goal is the have a new place before Bear comes home. The only income we currently have coming in is Bears social security.
We really would appreciate your donation, prayer and good vibes. If you can not donate please forward this.
All our love
Dee and Bear
