The week before Christmas, Leah learned there was a cancerous tumor in her colon. Not knowing what kind or how advanced the cancer was, she started in with appointments, and thankfully was able to have surgery the week after Christmas to remove the mass. Surgery revealed the cancer has indeed spread to her lymph nodes, although we praise the Lord that it hasn't spread to other organs. In the next few weeks, Leah will begin an anticipated six months of chemotherapy treatment to remove any remaining cancer cells.

All the funds raised here will go directly to the Finn family to help with ongoing costs of cancer treatment and related expenses while Leah pursues chemotherapy. As you know, Leah is the manager of the Finn household, homeschooling the kids, as well the resident chef. The Finns don’t know what the future holds. But this much they do know: God is good and He is faithful. This was true before they knew Leah had cancer. It is true today, knowing about the cancer. It will remain true throughout whatever treatment she may have—whatever all that ultimately entails. It will remain true regardless of the ultimate outcome. Nathan and Leah are praying that the Lord would heal her fully, that He would give wisdom to all the medical professionals who care for her, that He would draw everyone in their family closer to Him through these trials, and that He would draw all of the Finns closer to one another.
