It is with extreme sadness to announce the sudden passing of Ron Bronke, age 64 of Hampshire, IL. Ron was known and loved by many. His loss will leave an immense void for his mother Rose, wife Cheryl, and children Ronnie and Rosalie.
Ron was an avid Chicago Bears fan and Season Ticket Holder. Ron was an ultimate tailgater being the first to arrive at the tailgate lot. He made friends each week by sharing food, drinks, and good times with fellow Bears fans and even those cheering for other teams (though he would jokingly give them a hard time for not repping the Blue and Orange). Ron always seemed to have tailgate items others had forgotten and would always share what he had and help others without hesitation. If anyone tailgated at 31st Street or 18th Street lots, chances are you quickly became fast friends and even enjoyed his famous homemade Apple Pie Shot.
Ron offered his goodwill and kindness in life and now is our chance to say thank you and remember Ron by contributing to a memorial fund that will go directly to his family. As anyone who has organized a funeral service knows, funeral expenses can carry a heavy financial burden on families at a time when their focus is on grieving.
Whether you knew Ron personally, tailgated with Ron, have been lent or given forgotten tailgate items, or appreciate a good family man with great taste in football teams, let´s take some of the financial strain off of his family by giving towards his funeral and memorial expenses. It is a gift that we can give to honor his memory and legacy that he created on the tailgate lot and beyond.
Thank you and BEAR DOWN!
Funds will go directly to his family from this account, with his son Ronnie named as the beneficiary.
