Hello BCHS classmates!
You are cordially invited to join in the fun and shenanigans at our
40th class reunion on Friday and Saturday, September 6 & 7, 2024.
We have a couple of fantastic venues in mind for us to gather at, so save the dates!
With that said, in order to pay to reserve these venues in advance we are setting up a fundraiser (through GoFundMe) for our class reunion.
Our hope is that this fundraiser will also help us to fulfill many of your wishes from the class reunion survey.
The money we raise will help pay for the following:
- Finalize reservation of the venues, including paying for iconic 80’s music for us to “Jump” too. (We will announce reunion locations once we are able to finalize payment)
- Setting up a BCHS class of 1984 permanent domain, website and e-mail address so that we can communicate directly with folks and find more classmates, beyond those of us engaging on Facebook. (We have created a classmate tracker to put on the website to help us find our lost friends!)
- Creating lanyards with our photos, so we aren’t playing the ‘classmate name- guessing game’ all weekend. (LOL)
- Memorial tribute for classmates who are no longer with us.
- Finish the conversion of our 1984 senior class-slide show to digital.
- Pay for some of the food costs for the second night, thus making it more affordable for everyone to join in the fun!
If we meet our $5,000 goal, we will be able to host our first night free of charge, and significantly lower costs for everyone to join on the second evening! It’s also just fine if we exceed our 5k goal, as a matter of fact we hope we do just that. All of the funds will be invested back into food, music and fun.
So my friends, please contribute to the BCHS class of 1984 FUNdraiser by turning your wallets “loose tonight”!
If you are planning to go to both events, and/or you are bringing a plus one – consider donating extra dollars.
If you would like to help us out and become a sponsor of the event. We will post your name and/or business advertisement on the BCHS reunion website. To do this we would ask for a minimum of a $250 donation. If you donate $250 or more -Michelle will contact you to gather the information that you will want posted on the website. Donations can also remain anonymous if folks want to choose to do this as well.
P.S. - Please forward this BCHS class of 1984 reunion GoFund me link to classmates that are not on Facebook, and let them know that we will soon have a BCHS class website where they can engage with all of us too! Also, many of our classmates on Facebook do not interact with it often, so be sure to spread the word to your BCHS friends on Facebook as well.
