For more than 33 years, Bear Country Christmas Wish has been neighbors helping neighbors.

I'm Karyn Stratton, and Christmas Wish has been a part of my life for more than three decades. What began as a way to make Christmas a little brighter for local families has grown into something much more.

Yes, we help make sure children have presents to open at Christmas. But Christmas Wish has never been just about toys.

We provide gift baskets for local senior citizens. We help families who suddenly find themselves facing tragedy or hardship. And whenever possible, we try to be there for people in our community who simply need a helping hand.

Now we'd like to make Christmas Wish a year-round effort.

Instead of waiting until the Christmas season to begin raising money, we're asking our friends, listeners and neighbors to help us build the Christmas Wish fund throughout the year. A few dollars today, another gift next month—it all adds up and allows us to be ready when someone in our community needs help.
