Hello, my name is Lauren Gross. I am a public speaker, blogger, and daughter of the most amazing Dad on the planet. I know that's cliche but let me paint you a picture.
It's the year 2019. Covid was just a breaking new story. My goal of getting out of the care facility to be at home with my dad had just been realized. It was already an emotional time, then it happened. Just as covid was at its height, our nursing staff at home was at its lowest.
That meant there was one person who couldn’t run though. My dad. He stayed by my side and took care of me for the hours of more than 3 full time nurses. To this day I am not sure how we made it work, but five years later here we are. I just celebrated my 30th birthday. Amongst keeping me alive, making sure that my days are lived as if they are each my last and most important day is a standard of care only my dad can uphold, truly. I love my nurses, don’t get me wrong, but my dad is the glue that keeps me home, keeps my spirits up (even if he uses dumb dad jokes to lift them).
I am just making a Go Fund Me to show my dad my appreciation, help him with some of the “grown up” things involved with keeping me home, and perhaps someday pay it forward. I aim to stay home with my dad, show him that his sacrifices have been worthwhile, and eventually co-run a ministry with him where we can share our miraculous story publicly.
Any amount you give is appreciated and will go towards helping my dad and I get back on track financially so we can grow our impact on the world beyond our own needs.
