Help Us Bring Beant Singh Dhaliwal Home One Last Time
It is with shattered hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved cousin, Beant Singh Dhaliwal, in Sydney, Australia.
Beant was so young and so full of life. He came to Australia with dreams in his eyes—hoping to build a better future, support his parents, and bring pride to his family. He was not only the only child of his parents, but also the light of their lives—their world revolved around him. Beant’s gentle soul, kind heart, and ever-smiling face touched everyone he met. He had no siblings, but he became a brother, friend, and guide to many around him.
He worked hard, sent money back home, and always put others before himself. Like so many international students and workers, he bore the challenges of living far away from home silently and bravely.
But now, our Beant is gone.
His family is utterly devastated. His family in Punjab, India, are inconsolable. They never imagined that the next time they would see their only son, it would be to say their final goodbyes.
We are now facing the heartbreaking task of sending Beant back home to India, so his parents can perform his last rites and see him one last time.
But this process is emotionally and financially overwhelming. Since Beant was not an Australian citizen, the costs of repatriating his body are extremely high—more than $20,000 AUD, including funeral expenses, paperwork, and transportation.
His family simply does not have the resources to bear this burden alone.
In addition to covering the repatriation costs, we also want to extend some financial support to Beant’s grieving family , so they can process this unimaginable loss without the added pressure of financial hardship. No parent should have to worry about money while mourning the loss of their only chil
That’s why we are reaching out to you—with humble and heavy hearts—for help.
Please consider donating whatever you can. No amount is too small. Your support will go directly towards covering the costs of transporting Beant home and ensuring that his parents can give him the dignified farewell he deserves.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.
Let us come together as a community and honour Beant’s memory. Let us help his family find a small measure of peace in this time of unimaginable loss.
Rest in peace, Beant. You will always be remembered, always be loved.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
