Thank you so much everyone for donating and raising awareness for Bean. I will forever be grateful and we are so blessed and privileged to have such a great support system and community. You all made this possible and I will never take that for granted.

The GoFundMe is gonna stay up for abit longer, since Bean will need quite some follow up appointments and consultations, possibly also more meds in the next 10-14 days. I have to take her to the vet every 3 days.

Since I'm already saving up for her follow up surgery in 8 weeks, I'm gonna keep this GoFundMe alive for the time that Bean still needs the frequent vet visits to help with the financial load. So in case anyone might still want to donate... This is your chance. Bean is my whole world and your help makes this already stressful and worrysome experience a lot easier.

Hey everyone!

A lot of you probably know Bean already, but for everyone else: let me introduce her to you!

Bean is an about 7 year old exotic shorthair rescue from Germany. I adopted her in January of 2021 and since then its been a bit of a wild ride. She's my whole world.

Because of her breed she has several health issues and yesterday, after coming home from surgery myself, we discovered that her left eye was swollen and it suddenly got worse and worse. We took her to the emergency vet clinic and came home with antibiotics, painkillers and two kinds of eye drops.

But it still keeps getting worse. Today we had to go back to see a ophthalmologist and they discovered that she will need emergency surgery tomorrow to save her eye. They assume its a nictitating membrane prolapse, which is only fixable via surgery and is gonna cost about 700€. As some of you know, I'm a social worker and don't have that kind of money laying around... Additionally, with the extensive vet visits that Bean has had this year already, the fund her insurance offers is already drained. We have about 28€ left in there, which is neither gonna cover last nights 260€ emergency vet visit, nor tomorrows estimated bill of 700€ (excluding aftercare).

So I've made the difficult decision to come on here again to ask for your help. I don't expect to reach the goal, but everything will help us get Bean the help she needs. I understand that not everyone has the funds to help, but even sharing this GoFundMe will make a difference. In case you do have some money leftover for a good cause we will forever be greatful.
