Bean Gall Bladder and Liver Surgery

If you know us, you know we love our dog, Skully. A lot of y'all know we've been through it over the last two years trying to figure out what's going on with her innards. She was just diagnosed with a gallbladder mucocele which left unchecked could result in her gall bladder rupturing and potentially death. If the gall bladder is removed at the first sign of issue, the risk for complications from the already risk surgery is significantly decreased. She also has been showing elevated liver enzymes over the last year and our specialist in VA Beach recommended biopsy to further diagnose that. All of this also requires anesthesia but our little Bean has a heart murmur which makes anesthesia riskier. Ultimately, the gall bladder surgery alone will be at least $6000 and depending on any complications that might arise, could be over $8000. This doesn't include the bloodwork we'll need prior to surgery to confirm that it's mostly safe (on top of the bloodwork we've already done, plus the ultrasound, radiographs, etc) or the liver biopsies. She will also have to stay for monitoring after her gall bladder is removed. I'm tired of asking money, y'all are probably tired of hearing about it, but I will do anything to keep my dog healthier and happier as long as we can. We think she's only about 9-10 years old which for a beagle, y'all know ain't ancient. I just want her to feel better and stay with us as long as she can. This is a lot of money. If I could give my left arm to keep her healthy, I would. Every little bit helps, every share helps. If we can even raise a third of the cost, we may be able to find other options, who knows. I just know I am willing to do anything to help our dog and if it means having to beg for more money on social media again at the risk of my pride and others' judgment, then so be it.
