We have an urgent and heartfelt request that needs our immediate attention and support.
One of our beloved parents, Kirsty, who is Piper’s mum (you probably know Piper, who trains five days a week and whose mum helps out at the gym and choreographs dances for our shows), Kirsty received some devastating news this week. Kirsty has been diagnosed with a stage 4 illness. Kirsty’s children only know that their mummy is unwell, and it’s her wish to keep the full extent and sadness of her illness currently from them.
Currently the family were in the middle of a house extension when Kirsty was hospitalised. As a community, we want to support their family by easing some of their burdens, both financial and practical. The construction on their home has stalled due to their inability to work and the financial strain they are under. The building is up, the flooring is in, and the plastering is done, however the project needs to be completed, and completed very fast.
One part of this project that’s especially close to our hearts is Piper’s bedroom. Piper doesn’t have a finished bedroom of her own right now, and as a little girl who loves having sleepovers, we want to give her a beautiful, personal space where she can feel comfortable and at home.
We also want to create a beautiful kitchen, the heart of the family home, that will provide a warm and flowing space for both young children and teenagers. Additionally, we envision a lovely garden that offers a calming and serene environment for the family.
Our hearts break for the family. Will is trying to hold it together for the children and Kirsty, and one thing we can try and do is finish their house and help with funds.
We’re reaching out to request your help in finishing the house and garden for Kirsty’s family through donations.
We also need to find temporary accommodation for the family while work is being done on their home, ideally somewhere that feels like a family holiday to create beautiful memories, within a 30-40 minute drive from Blackburn. Given that it is August and peak holiday season, finding such a place with availability is challenging, so any leads or donations would be incredibly valuable.
The illness is progressing rapidly and the timeline is very tight but we can do this together. We aim to start on Monday, 12th August, and complete the entire project within seven days so that the family can return to a finished home. This ambitious effort will make a significant difference in their lives, providing a beautiful and functional space during a very difficult time.
Kirsty is a beautiful person, inside and out, and it’s hard to understand why such painful things happen to the best people. This is something we can all contribute to and make a difference.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of this compassionate and caring community. Let’s come together to make a difference for Kirsty, Piper, and their family during this time.
Kirsty and Will both send their heartfelt and emotional thank you in advance to anyone helping their family.
