As many of you know, our dear friend, Ricardo Monroy, passed away July 4th. The family will be hosting a service for him on September 23. In addition, we wanted to honor him with a Beach Celebration of Life.

Some of Ricardo's friends - Norm, Randy, Jay, and myself have put together a swim followed by food and drinks at one of Ricardo’s favorite restaurants, The Riviera. The weekends were not available at the restaurant, so we will be meeting Thursday, September 29.

The swim will be at RAT beach at 2pm, followed by drinks and food at the Riviera Mexican Grill from 4 - 9 pm.

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of food and drinks at the Riviera. You do not need to donate to attend either/both the swim or the Riviera, but please be mindful we will need to cover costs if you plan on eating/drinking.

In addition, we have designed caps and long sleeve t-shirts to honor Ricardo. A donation of $100 or more will include a t-shirt. Any extras and the caps will be available for sale at the Riviera.

Any excess funds raised from the celebration of life will be donated to programs and equipment in Ricardo’s name for the kid's program through the South Bay Swim Team, which he loved coaching.
