Dear friends and family - on November 5th, a typhoon hit the island of Palawan in the Philippines and severely damaged the newly built eco-village of our beloved friend Gary.

Since March, Gary has put all his heart into building Beach & Beeyond as a model for beekeeping, permaculture, conservation, learning, and local economic empowerment. More than anything, Beach & Beeyond is a place of joy and loving community.

In his vision for Beach & Beeyond, Gary has been dedicated to creating a place for people to come from around the world and learn from living in connection with nature and the local community.

He's also been pouring his energy into supporting the local families, schools, farmers, and neighbors. He has worked hard to ensure the school has access to clean water, organized beach clean ups, created a library for school kids, and built a beach stop for fisherman to rest after their days on the sea.

Sadly, almost everything was heavily damaged or destroyed in the typhoon, from the garden and bungalows, to the library of books for the local school, and Christmas gifts Gary had been collecting for the community's kids.

One of the things we love most about Gary is his generous and joyful spirit. He shares everything with abundance, he dreams for a better world on behalf of all of us, and then he goes to work making it happen.

Beach & Beeyond was damaged but not destroyed. This fundraiser will be used to support the rebuilding of the physical space, which will strengthen the vision of a world where bees, people, and the natural environment coexist with compassion, collaboration, and care.
