Hello hello!
So as it turns out, the date for my surgery is really creeping up on us. Assuming I can get all of the electrolysis I need done in time, my bottom surgery will be happening on/or around November 24th of this year. Which is both exciting, and terrifying, because there is SO much that needs to happen for this surgery to work out.
Fortunately, my insurance should be covering the medical costs of the surgery itself, but that still leaves the recovery funds. This will include supplies for my physical recovery, which will probably cost around $250, at least for a pre-assembled kit that we have found. Then there will be about a 3 week hotel stay during my initial recovery after the surgery. We have found several hotels near the hospital in Spokane that offer prices for surgery recovery stays, but that's still $70-90 a night, for three weeks, plus a couple days before the surgery I think for prep.
All of this adds up, and unfortunately I still haven't made it to a point where I can find a new job to try and save up for all of this. I have been incredibly fortunate to have my family to help and support me through so many of my difficulties, and I would really like to ease the financial burden that this will cause. I would like to be able to raise as much funding for this as possible, I didn't include the cost of the plane tickets in this yet either, oh my.
Of course ANY help will be hugely appreciated with this, it is one of my loooong term goals in my transition to get this surgery, and even with the rough recovery I know will be coming, it will be totally worth it for my overall health and well being.
