Bea is shaving her HEAD for Daddy’s chemo ward

My Daddy was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal bowel cancer April 2019 when he was only 38. This has been the scariest 18 months of mine and my families life. We were told that if we were lucky he would have 18 months to live. It’s now October 2020 18 months after diagnosis and he is doing amazing! 

This wouldn’t have been possible without the people who have helped, loved, laughed and cried with us, too many to mention specifically!

From our lads&dads family who raised money for and built our barn & gave us laughter and memories over the fire. 

To the most special and supportive people from the best hospital ward team ever(AMU/W7) (not that I am biased or anything). But all jokes aside, without  mum introducing us and without their unconditional support we would not be where we are today. They have been the backbone of our support by physically supporting my mum during my dads 10hr operation and stay in ITU and raising money that helped us create lasting memories together in Centre Parcs. 

We could never repay any of this love and kindness back,  but I wanted to do something.

The oncology unit dad has been treated at are amazing, even during these crazy and weird times of covid. They let mum stay until dad is all hooked up (just in case he faints!) and keep her updated as much as they can. They keep him fed and warm during treatment and encourage him to keep going. They are funny and kind and treat us like family.

So I am shaving all of my very long hair off just before Christmas to try and raise the very much needed money for the oncology ward and team. My shaved hair will be donated.

There isn’t much I can do to help my daddy but I can try to give back to the people who are helping him.

So I hope it’s not too much to ask for your help just once more,
