Hello Family & Friends,
One of the things that I have learned over the last few years of taking care of myself and my mental health, was knowing that it is okay to ask for help sometimes.
The last year for me and Juston has been a rollercoaster. Fun but with it's challenges. Juston, my family, and my friends have been amazingly supportive in my sobriety. Getting to spend time with my family, especially at the holidays has been amazing. Getting a new job which I actually love. So many blessings!
But that being said, it's been a tough year too. I was laid off last June and unemployed for several months. Juston moved up from South Florida and is working 2 jobs. Unfortunately he's had a reduction in hours over the past month or so. And I am a contractor for the moment. So every holiday or day out sick, I wasn't paid for. And there were many of those over the last 2 months. Essentially we've had paychecks much lower than we were expecting. Even with our tax returns and making payment arrangement, we are behind and in need of help.
Our lease is up at the end of this month. My landlord has been very kind and understanding. We have already signed the lease renewal but need to have the rent caught up before 4/30/24. We've looked into rental assistance program through the county and Seminole State College, but don't qualify because of the current income we have.
So as uncomfortable as it is, we are humbly asking for help. The amount we need is a lot to ask of one family member or friend (many who have already helped us out a lot). So a little from a few could really help and would be an enormous blessing. So if you are able to help, we we would be extremely grateful. If you have any questions you would like to ask, feel free to message me directly. Just please keep it on a positive note.
With Appreciation,
Juan Carlos
