Be there for Nakoa’s family

Nakoa Guffey-Wodjenski unexpectedly passed away on October 19, 2023, leaving behind her husband, Chris, 15-year-old son Ryan, and 2-year-old daughter Nakiyah. In her too-short 41-year life, Koa, as she was known to friends and family, touched so many hearts. An enduring memory is her twinkling eyes and big smile eclipsed only by an even bigger hug when you entered their home or they yours.

The family is understandably shocked by Koa’s death. Their immediate duty is to respecting Koa’s memorial wishes. Secondly, Chris will need time from his job to settle her affairs, become a single father, chart out their future one day at a time, and be allowed time to grieve the loss of Koa, the woman he has loved for 25 years.

On behalf of Koa, we are raising money to assist with memorial costs, legal services, and the time Chris needs to take off work.

The entire family is touched by the kind words and support everyone has shown. Thank you for considering this polite request on behalf of Chris, Ryan, and Nakiyah.
