Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to ask for your support during a very difficult time. My daughter, Isela has been unexpectedly hospitalized as of last Saturday. She went in with a severe infection, with her kidneys. Something she has dealt with since day one of her birth. She ended up needing to have a C Section. The baby was putting a lot pressure on her kidneys. She landed in ICU intubated. The following day she was fine like a champ. Got out ICU, finally went to Mom and baby area. She seemed to have been doing better each day, this morning she looked and felt great. Then about noon, she came down with a high fever and her white blood cell count is elevated , indicating infection again. So she’s getting moved back to a more progressive unit, so she can be put back on the monitors so they can monitor her closely, as they run more tests. I need to be with her. As any parent would understand, my place is at her side, providing her with comfort and support as she recovers. To also help with Jr since he is getting discharged he will no longer be a patient, so the staff will not be able to assist with the baby. Dad needs to get back to work on Tuesday. They just got their own place.

Unfortunately, taking time off work means I won't be able to cover our essential expenses since I have exhausted all my PTO staying with her all week. I'm creating this GoFundMe to help offset the cost of a week's worth of wages so I can focus entirely on Isela’s recovery without the added stress of financial strain.

I know most of us are facing financial difficulties, so it’s taking a lot for me to even create this. As her mom, it hurts to see her go through this, and just need to be here with her. Every little bit helps, even if 1 or 5 dollars that can add up, your generosity will allow me to be there for my daughter when she needs me the most.
