“BELINDA’S HOPE”

These are the hardest words we have ever written.  Our sister, Belinda (Weldon) Cloud, age 52 has been diagnosed with advanced stage colorectal cancer. Belinda is married to Mark Cloud and has one child, Amanda who is 17.Belinda has worked hard all her life to help provide for her family. She is no longer able to work and the only source of income is Mark’s social security disability. Amanda has recently graduated from high school with honors and will be attending Northwestern State University in the fall. Amanda is working 2 summer jobs, 7 days a week to help pay her college expenses. Belinda is scheduled to begin chemo therapy and radiation treatment in Alexandria, LA, 5 days per week for 6 weeks, which involves a 100 mile trip (every day). She will then be scheduled for surgery.  The everyday stresses she will have of wondering how to pay for food, gas, electricity, house note, etc. is overwhelming to her. We want Belinda to focus on her health and on herself which she has never done.  She has always been so unselfish and has never given herself even the smallest luxury.  We are asking for donations to help relieve Belinda of this burden so that she may concentrate on her health and well-being. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Please keep Belinda and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts.
