Adrian’s Story:
Adrian is a 14-year-old freshman at Godwin Heights High School. He’s a dedicated trombone player in the school band and a passionate football player and fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys. Beyond that, Adrian is a bright young man, full of smiles, compassionate, outgoing, very funny, and deeply loving.
Recently, Adrian was involved in a severe accident, resulting in multiple critical injuries, including bilateral basilar skull fractures, bilateral temporal bone fractures, cerebral edema with herniation, and a small hemorrhage in his fourth ventricle. He also suffered multiple rib fractures on his right side, pelvic fractures, a grade three hepatic injury, a splenectomy, and basilar pulmonary contusions. Additionally, he has fractures in his L3 to L4 vertebrae and bilateral extra-axial pneumocephalus.
Adrian is currently in the ICU at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The hospital is 56 miles away from my location, making it a 112-mile round trip each day.
As his mother, I’m doing everything I can to be by Adrian’s side and support his recovery. We are seeking help solely for transportation expenses so that I can be there for him during this critical time.
I would appreciate any support you can provide. Every bit means the world to us.
