Be the Light in Camila’s Road to Recovery

Hello Everyone,

I’m creating this GoFundMe because I need your hand. My name is Camila, an International Student from Argentina who was injured in a crash accident 5 months ago (https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/man-charged-over-fatal-north-lake-crash-in-horror-weekend-on-wa-roads-20240714-p5jtjh.html ). Since that moment, I have been experiencing both emotional and physical injuries.

Despite the insurance commission of WA has covered some medical treatment, my knee is still on physiotherapy, and I continue using crutches for my mobility. This condition makes me feel so frustrated because I’m supporting my studies and cost of living, which are so expensive in Australia. I have tried to find a job, but due to my condition and the medical advice, I cannot take on any duty that international students are used to. My savings are running out, and I don’t have money to continue paying the rent, my studies and my food. This is why I am asking for your help. I never imagined that this process was last too long.

The hardest part for me has been the psychological trauma, I feel I’m not the same person when I get into a car as I experience disturbing flashbacks and panic attacks. I have not received any support, nor an apology, from the driver responsible for the accident, which is quite disappointing for me, as I’m still being affected by his facts. My mental health is not ok, especially during these Christmas days being far away from my family.

If anyone can recommend me a lawyer, I do appreciate. I consulted one specialized in crash accidents in WA, but he could not take the case because of conflict of interest. This will be a demanding process for me that will take a long time to be sorted, considering my condition as an international student.

Any kind of help is very important to me, especially positive energy.
