We are Kadijatou Barry and Asantewa Bonna, two friends who met during our first year of college and dreamed of making an impact in the world through stories.

Our roots are in Guinea and Ghana, places rich in culture but where too many brilliant voices remain unheard. We have seen firsthand how literature and the arts are too often dismissed as mere hobbies, and how extraordinary talent is overlooked simply because opportunity never arrives.

Barry & Bonna Publishing was born from our shared belief that stories are bridges—they connect people, heal communities, and open doors to worlds we have never known. We are building a publishing house that empowers underrepresented writers, celebrates diverse cultures, and makes books accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Your support will help us launch our very first titles by covering crucial costs such as printing, editing, design, and events that will bring these stories to life.
