Hi, I’m Tori! I have type 1 diabetes. I have been waiting for about 4 1/2 years for a medical alert dog. I recently found out that I have been placed with a dog, Frieda. I’m beyond excited! Frieda will help me to be more independent. At times living with type 1 diabetes is scary. There have been times that my sugar is so low I could pass out; other times it goes extremely high. These highs and lows are harmful to me. Frieda will warn me faster than I could realize that this is happening. I will be going to a two-week training program which is coming up quickly. Recipients are asked to raise some funds. I’ve attached a letter from the organization helping me become independent! I’m asking for your help. Thank you for considering helping me.
