First time author hoping for self publication!

Welcome
This is the official fundraising page for Tall Tales of Misery and Misfortune. I'm trying to hit this goal so I can pay for self publishing and have this book see the world. Why self publish instead of apply to a publishing house? Google that one. It's not pretty. If I publish this way I keep all rights and make closer to 50% each book sold vs 10% or less with a publisher. But before that I have to convince someone to sign me and prove that it will make that agent a million dollars. This is a passion project, not a cash grab. Every story has a real life person as the inspiration. These are friends, family member, our friends kids, etc. I want it in large retail stores, small businesses, I want to sell copies at conventions, talk about it on podcasts and local news shows. I want it to go as far as it can. If it does well, great. If it doesn't , well then at least I completed my goal and it's out here forever. So please help me get this thing out there.
This book is full of dark poetry and tattoo inspired illustrations. It talks about 26 people having less than perfect days which we discuss in alphabetical order. Some meet their demise, some just take a beating.
