Be Part of Nerissa's Neurosurgeon Quest

Hi! My name is Nerissa and I am raising money to attend the National Youth Leadership program for Medicine and Healthcare, the money you guys are donating will go towards my expenses while boarding at Yale, such as my dorm room, food, the class I will be taking etc. This program will really help me out with my future career. For anyone who knows me personally, they know that it is my biggest DREAM to become a Neurosurgeon. A Neurosurgeon is a specially trained medical doctor who diagnoses and treats conditions that affect your nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. I hope that one day I will be able to contribute to the researching developments, treatments, and management of these illnesses, aiding in improving the quality and quantity of life for those affected by these conditions. Neurology really stood out to me on a different level while sitting down and thinking about what I wanted to do with my life 5-10+ years from now. My passion for this career is driven by a combination of personal experiences and the broader societal need for advancements in understanding and treating all different types of neurological disorders.
