My name is Karla Contreras, I am 45 years old, five years ago I was diagnosed with a invasive carcinogenic duct. I had a mastectomy at that time and thanks to various treatments I was able to improve and move forward enjoying life happily. During all of this time I have enjoyed life, each phase of life has made me the woman that I am today; a fulfilled woman, with 22 wonderful years of marriage that have blessed me with two marvelous children. Andrea who is 19 and Andre who is 11, together with my husband Pepe, are the engine and energy that moves me to give the best of me every single day. Some of the things that I have enjoyed in my life are: classical music, strolling through nature and enjoying its tranquility, I also enjoy helping people and serving my church. One of my biggest passions is teaching music, unfortunately I have received very though health news that will prevent me from continuing with this passion. I have now being diagnosed with Bone metastasis that has spread to various parts of my skeleton. Today more than ever I wish to live, grow old with my husband and see our children grow, be part of their success as well as be close to the people that I love and continue doing what I love. I know that when an illness knocks at your door, the challenges and difficulties are greater when you do not have medical insurance. This is one of the reasons that our family is facing a challenging and complicated situation. Even in these circumstances I choose to make my own the words from the psalmist, “even when I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil because you are with me”. I have faith that God can again produce another miracle in my life, this is why we are appealing to each one of you who is reading this message, that with your help I can receive the economic support to continue fighting this illness. There will be many medical costs for the treatments that I have to undergo as well as being able to help cover the basic needs for my family. I am thankful for your contribution as it will allow me to focus on fighting this sickness. No matter the amount, one dollar or one cent, it will make a difference. God Bless you!

Mi nombre es Karla Contreras, tengo 45 años, hace 5 años fui diagnosticada con carcinoma invasive ductal, me realizaron una mastectomía, y gracias a varios tratamientos pude salir adelante, y seguí mi vida feliz, durante todo este tiempo he disfrutado de la vida, cada etapa de ella me ha hecho lo que soy, una mujer plena, con 22 años de maravilloso matrimonio hemos tenido la bendicion de tener a nuestro lado dos maravillosos hijos, Andrea de 19 años y Andre de 11 años, que junto a mi esposo Pepe son el motor, la energia, que me mueve a dar lo major de mi en todo.  Me gusta la musica clasica, asi como un paseo en el campo, la tranquilidad y estar en la naturaleza, disfruto ayudando a las personas y servir en mi iglesia, la ensenanza musical es mi passion, tristemente nuevamente he recibido un duro golpe a mi salud, me han diagnosticado con una metástasis Osea, que está diseminado por varias partes del esqueleto, esta noticia a sido un duro golpe no solo para mi sino para toda la familia, ha cambiado mi perspectiva de la vida, hoy mas que nunca quiero vivir, envejecer junto a mi esposo, ver crecer a nuestros hijos, ser parte de sus logros, asi como estar cerca de las personas que amo y seguir haciendo lo que mas me gusta. Se que cuando la enfermedad toca tu Puerta las dificultades y los obstaculos son mayores cuando no se cuenta con seguros medicos,por esta razon para nuestra familia en estos momentos el panorama que tenemos en frente es complicado, aun en estas circunstancias hago propias las palabras del salmista "aunque ande en valles de sombra y de muerte no temere mal alguno porque tu estaras conmigo", tengo fe en que Dios pueda obrar nuevamente un milagro en mi vida, es por esta razon que estamos apelando a cada uno de los que amablemente pueden leer este mensaje, para que con su ayuda me den el impulso economico para poder luchar contra esta enfermedad, y que podamos hacer frente a los gastos medicos, terapias, y ayuda para mi pequena familia en las necesidades básicas, estoy muy agradecida por la oportunidad que me estas dando para afrontar esta enfermedad, no importa la cantidad, un dolar , un peso si hace la diferencia, que Dios te bendiga!
