"JOIN THE BAND!" HELP US GET THE NEW DEAK HARP CD DONE...
Y'all know Deak Harp. He's a mainstay on the Clarksdale, Mississippi, blues scene—playing joints like Red's Lounge and Ground Zero Blues Club plus events like Juke Joint Festival and his own Harmonica Block Party. You may have caught his gigs at King Biscuit in Helena, at Jazz Fest in New Orleans, on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, or even on an overseas festival stage. His mentor was harp legend James Cotton, and Deak has shared stage or studio with a who's who of the blues world ever since.
He also owns and operates Deak’s Mississippi Saxophones & Blues Emporium here in downtown Clarksdale—where everyone from Charlie Musselwhite to Ozzy Osbourne drops by to talk, play or buy harmonicas.
CLARKSDALE BREAKDOWN WAS A HIT, BUT IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER...
Recently, Deak has been working on a follow-up to his acclaimed Clarksdale Breakdown CD, and he'd love to get your help to get it done. As you might imagine, the cost of producing a professional, retail-ready CD has gone up more than a little bit—recording sessions, musicians, mixing, mastering, licensing, packaging design, CD pressing, album cover printing, shipping, etc. It ain't cheap.
THE GOOD NEWS IS... YOU CAN HELP...
"Join the band!" Please consider supporting Deak's GoFundMe CD project with a donation today, and let's get 'er done! Any amount helps, and every dollar goes toward completing and releasing Deak's brand-new blues album. Thanks, y'all.
