Hi, my name is Jo, and over the years, I’ve donated to small conscious causes that I feel are making positive differences and now, I’m stepping up to build something I believe can truly change a situation and that I will actively be a part of shaping -hopefully with a community of like-minded supporters too

I've personally funded the early stages of a grassroots animal welfare project here in Zanzibar Tanzania, designed to have a substantial impact with minimal investment. But to move forward, I really need more help.

Why This Project Matters:

Too many animals here suffer from abandonment, neglect, and abuse, born into areas they're not wanted. With limited resources and support, it’s heartbreaking to see the need grow daily. I couldn’t just keep standing by feeling helpless so I began learning more and understanding what would be a safe, sustainable solution that will benefit both the animals and the surrounding community.

With your support, we aim to;

Secure land and build a protective perimeter wall

Dig a well to ensure clean, reliable water

Install feeding stations for stray and vulnerable dogs

Support veterinary care and emergency treatments

Provide supportive animal welfare education in local communities

Collaborate with local like-minded charities who also need the support

Why I’m Asking for Help:

I’ve already put my savings into this project and continue to give what I can and have never reached out for support in this way. But to keep it moving - and ensure long-term impact, I need help covering the startup and ongoing costs.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps lay the foundation for a safer, more compassionate future for both animals and people in Zanzibar.

Your support will directly fund tangible, transparent actions to reduce suffering and create change. If we can all do just a little bit and work together to protect these voiceless lives and be part of a community that cares.
