#GOBEYONDGIVING Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our campaign. We are so grateful for all of the people who continue to follow Orah Mital's progress for all these years! <3 For those of you who aren't familiar with Orah Mital’s story please take a minute to read about how you can make a wonderful girl's life better.
Nine years ago, Orah Mital was a happy vibrant teenager enjoying the summer with her friends. On August 3, 2007 she was in a tragic car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Her life has never been the same since. It has been a long and painful journey yet Orah Mital is still fighting to recover.
For the past eight years her family has sent her to intense physical therapy as well as brain core therapy and hyperbaric therapy. Orah Mital was recently accepted into the IBRF(International Brain Research Foundation) and started two new therapy treatments.
Orah Mital is no longer given the proper funds from the Board of ed services. Her family and friends have worked tirelessly to come up with the funds to continue supporting Orah Mital through out her recovery.
Each therapy is highly expensive therefor we try and fundraise every few months. It is very crucial in her recovery process to stay up to date in her weekly therapies to relive her of pain and to progress in her muscle coordination.
Orah Mital is a sweet girl who deserves a chance to live the best life she possibly could in this situation. We want to be able to continue sending her to therapies so she has a steady schedule and understands she still has hope to progress.
A lot of the times we have these fundraisers and i'm sure many people don't really know exactly who Orah Mital is. I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about my friend and to see her as more than just this story.
She is one of the feistiest people I know. I have been with her on countless trips to therapies and I have never seen someone roll their eyes so many times:) She loves to be taken outside and to see people. She likes to eat my whole bar of chocolate when i'm only trying to feed her a piece. She likes to be included in conversations and spoken to like the 24 year old she is. Orah Mital is very aware of what is happening around her. I have seen her smile and cry. I have seen her express many emotions through body language and using her eyes and sounds. I have seen her interact with her family and friends and therapist and I can honestly tell you how much she appreciates all the people that help her and donate to her cause. Her family can not express enough how much they appreciate all the help they have gotten and continue to get.
BE ONE OF 500! We have decided to go about this campaign a little different. If 500 people give just ten dollars we will already have raised 5,000 which will cover the next three months of her physical therapy. Obviously any donation is highly appreciated and we are extrmemely grateful because every dollar counts. You can also help this cause by telling your family and friends about it and sharing this campaign on facebook:) Thank you again for taking the time to read this and have a blessed day!!
