Andrea Hankey, a young wife and mother of 2 beautiful children, 6 and 8 years old, was recently diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 liver cancer. Andrea has already survived so much prior to this including breast cancer, which unfortunately is the cause of this horrific liver cancer. Andrea will be undergoing chemotherapy and with this comes many travel, food, lodging, and child care expenses. Many community members have been touched by Andrea, through all her endless efforts in helping children, her unbelievable dedication to her family, and her continuous strength, constantly stating “I got this!” Andrea and her husband, Andre are both social workers in school settings. Both Andrea and Andre have given so much to our community it’s time for us to give to them. Andrea has forever demonstrated and lived by the statement, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” It’s our turn to please choose kind, and help Andrea Hankey and her family. #BEANDREAKIND
