Be Kal's Superman: Fund Stray Dog’s Recovery

Hi everyone! I’m Hannah, and this is Kal! I recently found him eating garbage and drinking water from a construction hat on the streets of Chicago. He had no tags, no collar, and no microchip. He’s underweight, has a UTI, an ear infection, a rash, and his paws are worn down, likely from walking the streets for weeks, if not months. He needs his medical bills covered. He’s a sweet boy who’s relieved to have a safe and loving place in my home where he can rest and recover. I was able to give him good quality food, blankets, water, and all of my childhood dog’s old things. I just took him to the vet today. The bill was just over $1,600. I had to borrow money to pay it. I provided the basics for his care, but he may have other medical expenses, which is why I’m here, asking you for help. Any little bit would be immensely appreciated. Whatever I don’t use for covering his medical bills and other expenses, I will donate to local animal shelters. I desperately want to keep him, but I just don’t have the money to give him what he needs. I will be looking for his owner. If that fails, I will carefully vet potential adopters to find him a forever home. Until then, he needs your help. We’re calling him Kal because he’s strong and kind like his namesake, Kal-El, The Last Son of Krypton, better known as Clark Kent/Superman. Please be his Superman. Thank you.
