Be Jax's Hero: Support His Recovery Today

Hi everyone,
Not sure if you know me or my sister Stacy, but Stacy has been hit with a major blow after her 3-month-old puppy suffered a severe brain injury when someone lost their balance and stepped on his head during a walk. It was a freak accident and could not have been foreseen, but it left Jax (at the emergency vet) with less than a 10% chance of making it through the night. The vet staff was great, but only having been there for 2 hours, they began suggesting that we start thinking about euthanasia since he was non-responsive. We decided to wait a little longer, and lo and behold, he began showing signs of improvement. We are home with him, and he's eating, drinking, pooping, peeing, and giving lots of kisses! Stacy has been waiting for a baby to come into her life for over 5 years, and now this happens. It's heartbreaking. Last year, she had her heart broken by a puppy scam when they took her money and left her devastated. A few months ago, I was made aware of Jax and his lack of a home through a friend. My sister was over the moon with joy when they were finally united! We have spoken with a neurologist and got some good news! With the proper therapy work and veterinary care, there's a good chance he can live a long and healthy life and maybe have a full recovery! It's just that the bills are overwhelming. $2600 for the initial ER visit and then the costs of follow-up and physical therapy could be insurmountable. An MRI alone can cost $4000-$6000. If you can help, please do. We all appreciate it. We will be posting his progress on Facebook to show you what a fighter the little miracle is! Go Jax!
He can't stand on all fours yet, but he's scooting all over the place because his brain is slowly healing, and he's making big strides every day.
