*Help My Husband Walk Again – A Plea from a Grieving Family*

My name is Afnan, a mother of four children. When the war on Gaza began, I was forced to flee to Egypt with my kids to receive urgent treatment for a serious ear injury. I had to leave behind my husband—a man who grew up an orphan and faced life with strength and dignity. Leaving him broke my heart, but I had no choice.

Now, a year and a half later, tragedy struck again. While sleeping in a tent, my husband was injured by nearby shrapnel. He suffered a fracture in his neck vertebra (C5-C6) and a spinal cord contusion that left him paralyzed in his lower body and with weakness in both hands.

With Gaza’s collapsing healthcare system, he cannot access the intensive physical therapy he desperately needs.
