Hi, my name is Pualani and I'm 22 years old, I work a full time job in Los Angles CA which I commute to almost everyday. I live on my own
and support myself completely. My life has been a huge transition the past 5 months. In early September I gave my life back to God and I've
been slowly realizing the life I was living and the direction I thought I
wanted to go was not the direction that God has in store for me.
Through the past 5 months I have been praying for God to lead me to
something with more of a purpose and not just for myself, but for Him.
I felt God tugging on my heart about this program I came across, and
for awhile after I finally applied I still tried ignoring His calling into
going.
When I finally put aside my pride and accepted where God wants me in my life right now, I got the call that I was accepted into ywam! It was a
very overwhelming and scary moment accepting that I have to give up a lot to attend this but now that I have fully accepted that this is where God wants me, I could not be more excited to serve Him. I knew this is what God was pulling me to and it feels exciting that God wants to use me to make an impact in other peoples lives while transforming my life at the same time.
YWAM (youth of the missions) is a discipleship training school that
helps show you who God is and teaches you how to serve Him in our
lives and to make Him known to the world. The mission is a 6 month
long program. The first 3 months I will be living in Mazatlan Mexico
with my team and leaders. During these first 3 months my team and I
will be learning more about who God is and how to interact with the
community and show them Gods love through acts of kindness through serving. The last 3 months we go on an outreach where we are sent to
places such as Africa, Asia, Japan, Peru and other communities in the
world to share who God is and show His love.
All though God has called me to be apart of this trip and it is something that I have committed to being apart of for Him, it is not something I
can send myself on without the help and support of those around me. My goal is to raise my complete funding by mid June since my team andI head to Mexico on July 4th. Every penny is worth everything to me
and I'm beyond grateful if you're able to support me in any way. I'm
trusting God through this journey that He will provide. Stating that, if
you're not able to support me finically, your prayers are just as valuable and appreciated!! Thank you so much for taking time to read my story
and please reach out to me if you want to know more about this
journey!
Much Love, Pualani.
