Be a VIRTUAL Bridesmaid or Pageboy for charity! X

My husband Tony and I were married on 24th October 1981.

As we left the Church we said “Wasn’t that wonderful? Shall we do it every ten years?” so we have; in 1991, 2001 and 2011.

We intended doing so this year to celebrate our Ruby (40th) anniversary at a romantic, candle-lit in St.
Edmund’s Church where we were originally married.

HOWEVER…

Covid happened.

The Church Parish Council has set a limit of sixty people to attend.

We had invited two hundred guests and we have twenty Bridesmaids and two Pageboys; how do you un-invite one hundred and forty people?

We couldn’t, so…

On Sunday 24th October Radio Mansfield 103.2 will be doing a special programme via an Outside Broadcast from the Forest Town Arena (Clipstone Rd West, Forest Town, Nottinghamshire, NG19 0EE) between 9am and 1pm on the Katie Trinder Brunch Show where we will renew our Wedding Vows live on air!

*Katie, who has worked at Mansfield 103.2 since it launched in 1999, qualified as a Celebrant with the Academy of Professional Celebrants last year.

As Tony and I don’t want any gifts from our guests we’re asking them to participate in a Fund Raising event for The Carer’s Trust, the 4th Mansfield Woodhouse Scouts and Radio Mansfield 103.2’s Kingsmill Hospital Toy Appeal.

During lock-down lots of Weddings were sadly cancelled so lots of little (and big!) girls and boys were disappointed not to be a Bridesmaid or Pageboy.

We are inviting anyone who would like to be a VIRTUAL Bridesmaid or Pageboy to do three things;

1, Take a photograph of your child (or yourself) dressed prettily.

2, Make a (suggested) donation of £1 via this Go Fund Me Page.

3, Email the photograph – this is very important so we know how many Bridesmaids and Pageboys are taking part.
N.B. We aren't allowed to put an email address on here so please look on www.mansfield103.co.uk for the email address to send it to.

4, On Sunday 24th October at 12 o’clock TWEET the photograph to @mansfield103 with the hash tag #Tonyandyvettes40th

We have applied to the Guinness World Records to ask if they will consider it.

WE AREN'T LIMITING IT TO HUMANS ONLY; IF YOU WANT TO PUT A PRETTY COLLAR OR BOW ON YOUR PET TOO THAT IS QUITE ACCEPTABLE!

Please spread the word to anyone who you think might be interested in taking part x
