Meet the McCarneys.

Jesse McCarney was born in Seattle and primarily raised in Idaho Falls, ID. Jesse is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. He will do anything for the people he loves and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Shelley McCarney was born and raised in Evanston, Wyoming. Shelley loves kids. She loves kids so much that she has dedicated her life to little ones by being an elementary school counselor. Shelley has always dreamed of being a mom but was patiently waiting for the right guy to have a family with.

Jesse and Shelley met in November 2018 and quickly fell in love. They got married in July 2021 and immediately started trying to build their family. They both knew that they wanted to be parents and were so hopeful that the process would be easy and simple. For the past 2 years, Shelley and Jesse have tried to conceive naturally but have never been successful. After many different tests to determine the cause of their infertility, 4 failed IUI's and countless prayers their team of doctors has determined the best way for them to conceive is through IVF.

Sadly, their insurance does not cover any costs for infertility treatments. They have been fortunate enough to be able to pay out of pocket for all infertility tests and IUI procedures so far but now are facing a much more costly journey. IVF will cost anywhere between $17-22K. This amount includes egg retrieval, medication for retrieval, frozen embryo transfer, and meds for transfer. Due to IVF not being covered by insurance, all these costs must be paid in full before any procedures can happen. They are hoping to start the IVF process immediately since Shelley will be turning 36 years old this June.

Originally, Shelley and Jesse were not going to share their infertility journey and were very hesitant to accept or ask for help. However, many individuals have reached out asking how they can help and be part of this new journey. The outpouring of kindness and love has been insurmountable and so appreciated. The McCarneys have decided to be open to the opportunity of having those who love them support them through this journey while they hope to make baby McCarney a reality. To help raise money we will be hosting a 'Puzzle Piece Fundraiser' in their honor. Here is how it works.

McCarney IVF Puzzle Piece Fundraiser

1). We have ordered a 1000-piece puzzle that will be used for the fundraiser.

2). A $15 donation will get your name on one puzzle piece. If each puzzle piece was purchased it would help us reach the $15,000 goal! You are welcome to buy one piece or multiple pieces. Anything is appreciated!

3). When a donation is received, I will make sure that we write your name down on the piece or pieces of the puzzle and we will share a picture of your pieces with you.

4). Donations can be made on gofundme or you can find the McCarney's on Venmo. You are also welcome to send a check directly to the McCarneys. If you prefer to use Venmo or check please message and we can get you their info.

5). Once baby McCarney is born we will then display the puzzle above their crib with everyone's name. This puzzle will represent all the wonderful people who were a 'piece of the puzzle' that helped make baby McCarney a reality.
