Sonia “Pagi” Saenz is a beloved aunt, sister, and friend to all who know her.

To know her is to love her. She has always gone the extra mile to help both strangers and loved ones alike, helping to make people’s lives easier, lend an ear or helping hand, encourage one’s faith, and be a friend to anyone in need.

On April 2nd 2022, Sonia fell and fractured her tibia, which landed her in the hospital where several other complications were found including CO2 necrosis, sepsis in the blood, respiratory failure (pneumonia), amongst others. She was completely hospitalized from April 2nd to June 6th, 2022, and was told to pay the majority of the medical expenses due to an error on her insurance’s end which was not able to be fixed. Due to several complications at the hospital she was staying at, she was not allowed to attempt to walk, and therefore accumulated muscular atrophy over the course of the 2+ months that she was there for. Currently, Sonia has remained without walking since April 1st, 2022, and has dealt with the added expenses of an at-home nurse, physical therapist, wheelchair transportation service that takes her to and from her workplace, and the various daily expenses to aid to her handicapped situation. Besides her current expenses, her medical expenses from her hospitalization totaled to almost $60,000.

We believe that this is not the end of the road for Sonia, and that God will finish the good work that He started in her. We want her to live the rest of her years in good health, with enough financially to help her (quite literally) get back on her feet again, as well as have the peace of mind that the financial toll taken from her is being worked on.

Truly, any amount will help, and will play a part in Sonia’s journey to healing and recovery.
