Help Baby Anastasia’ Life !

Donation protected
Hi! A couple days ago in fellowship, I was given the opportunity to speak about our life’s journey and share some of what my family is going through. This has been extremely difficult for me and up until recently stayed quiet for reasons I’m still learning to process.

My name is Javier, my wife Beatriz and I are full time missionaries helping out with Youth With A Mission where we lead teams into the nations to reach the lost. During our latest mission, Beatriz gave birth to our first baby girl named ANASTASIA. Meaning resurrection. A miracle, as we’d been told Anastasia had a 50% chance of making it full term and 50% chance of dying before. Or if the baby made it full term, she was given 95% percent chance of passing the first week. Anastasia was diagnosed with a rare Trisomy 18 condition as well as Trisomy X. I can share more details with you, if desired read further.

Our precious daughter is currently 7 weeks old. Defying all sorts of odds. However, looking ahead, our journey is paved with great hurdles. We need prayer! As recently, baby Anastasia was emergency flown from Oahu to the NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT @UCLA children’s hospital. She remains on a difficult path marked with blood sticks, pick lines, tube feeds, intubations, CPAP, Ventilators, CT SCANs, ECG’s, x-rays, ultrasounds, and myriad of other tests. She needs intervention. The great physician is directing and time is of the essence. We need your help of standing in the gap for hope, as times like this have made us feel helpless.

I am certain however, of the words from Charles Spurgeon. “God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.”

A brother of my said these words,
“I'm blessed that as the body of Christ, we were able to pray for baby Anastasia and their family. We know our God is sovereign and will see them through this, but it won't be easy. I can't imagine what they are going through. I wanted to offer a blessing to their family and let them know we look to support them however we can. Brother Javi still lives in Kona where their base is, but were staying in Oahu while leading a team and now God has them on a different mission at UCLA. Since Anastasia was readmitted to the hospital 23 days ago, they have been sleeping in the hospital room with their daughter, being a first responder in case one of the medical machines starts beeping - so they can respond right away, even before the nurses arrive. They take turns sleeping in one chair in the NICU. They haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.”

If you want to share a word or want to give in other ways, contact Javier through this platform and he will gladly reach out with his personal contact info for a more personal 1 on 1 discussion. It has been a long time that he’s spoken with friends and family due to having been on the mission field for years, but he’s expressed that he welcomes it and would love to get the chance to talk to you.
