On November 22nd 2025, Our sweet Lorenzo was electrocuted and caught on fire in a freak accident. The doctors told us that if he hadn’t used quick thinking and pulled his necklace off, he could have been electrocuted to death.

This happened because his phone was plugged into an extension cord on the bed. The cord and charger were pulled just enough to loosen the connection, leaving a small gap. Renzo necklace slipped into that gap, and that’s what caused the shock and the burns. It ignited instantly.

Renzo is in the hospital and will need to stay at least 2 weeks . He will also need skin graft surgery. They are going to shave his entire head to take skin from his scalp as well as his legs and feet. this is taking quite an emotional toll on him but he’s fighting hard like the tough, brave little boy he is — a true survivor.

We are so grateful to God for protecting him and keeping him here with us. This was a terrifying, freak accident that could have happened to anyone.

We are seeking assistance from the community to help pay upcoming medical bills, monthly expenses, and help for the upcoming holidays as his Mother will not be able to work during this entire process and anything is very appreciated.

Parents — please, please don’t let your kids sleep with electronics or charging cords on their bed. It’s not worth the risk.
