Hello, we are reaching out to ask for help on behalf of Karin or “KC” as some of you know her. Many people have asked how they can help, so we have created a page where you can make a contribution of any size.
Karin is a lifelong health nut. After decades of running and clean eating, Karin was shocked to be diagnosed with triple negative inflammatory breast cancer shortly after her 48th birthday. It was discovered in late June 2020 after a horrible staph infection, a severely inflamed left arm and lymph nodes, and a case of shingles that just wouldn’t quit. Inflammatory Breast Cancer is an incredibly rare disease, accounting for only 1-5% of all breast cancers. It is an aggressive form of cancer that is not easily detectable until it is in advanced stages. Please take a moment to learn the signs and symptoms; https://www.cancer.org/cancer/breast-cancer/understanding-a-breast-cancer-diagnosis/types-of-breast-cancer/inflammatory-breast-cancer.html
In 2020, Karin underwent some standard treatments such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She has continued to work even while ill from the effects of chemo to maintain her health insurance. Thankfully, her insurance covered some of the expenses of traditional medical treatment, but a portion was left for her to pay. Additionally, in keeping with her natural lifestyle, Karin is seeking holistic treatments to support her body as it heals. Unfortunately, these treatments are expensive and are not covered by insurance.
She thought it was under control, however the same cancer came back with a vengeance in March of 2022.
Please help support our friend in her recovery. Any amount you can give will help pay her out of pocket medical expenses and allow her to focus on fighting the cancer. She has to cover a $4,000 deductible plus a percentage up to $8k. For those of you who have experience with a situation like this, you know how important it is to stay positive, reduce stress, eliminate fear, and not focus on the problems. By helping her to not have to think about all the bills, we are helping her create a health success story. If you know her like we do, you know she will share her story with the world and inspire others to live happy healthy lives!
Thank you!
